2 cups of packed brown sugar (white sugar will work too)
1/2 cup of water
1/2 tsp. of vanilla flavoring
- Bring water and sugar to a boil in a pan, stirring occasionally. If boiled too long it will be too thick. Water can be added to obtain the right consistency.
- Reduce heat and simmer 3 minutes or longer to obtain desired thickness.
- Remove from heat and stir in vanilla flavoring.
- Serve warm. Store unused portion in the refrigerator.

Great idea! Let me know how it turns out and if it works in your plastic bottle. I'd also like to know if it seperates or not.
Good luck!
Hi Tiffany,
I made the syrup last week and it went well. The next day after I used it, it was pretty thick an chunky, I added 1/4 cup of boiling water to the bottle and shook it well. It's been perfect ever since, I hope you get a chance to try it!
I'm making my own syrup this week :)
